Add a touch of love to your home with these DIY store decorating ideas for Valentine’s Day. These Valentine’s Day art objects can be made for less than $ 10 with dollar store supplies.
These Valentine’s Day decorating ideas add an elegant touch to your low-budget home decor. You can get all the supplies for this project at Dollar Tree (including pearls). Pearls are available in different sizes and quantities. You can get 100 small pearls or 80 medium pearls for $ 1 each. You can even buy them in bulk online for use in multiple projects.
The beaded Valentine tree takes the most time to do (about an hour). I watched a TV show while I was finishing this project to pass the time, but the XO photo frame only took about 15 minutes. If you don’t have much time for your decorations, I recommend the latter project. If you had faux pearl necklaces, you could use them instead of individual pearls and this would definitely save time on the tree project. Dollar Tree was selling these necklaces around Halloween, but I haven’t seen them in a long time, so I don’t know if they still do or not.
Below are detailed instructions and a list of supplies needed for these Valentine’s Day crafts. Have fun making and have a great Valentine’s Day!
Dollar Store DIY Decorations for Valentine’s Day
- Picture frame White
- glitter paper
- foam cone
- foam heart pink or red
- glue gun and glue sticks
- the scissors
- rule (optional)
XO photo frame
Trace an outline of the photo frame on the back of the scintillating paper and cut it out.
Put the glitter page in the photo frame and put the support back
Determine the size of the letters you want by measuring the space available on your frame. Print letters of this size and cut them out.
Glue the letters printed in the center of the glitter paper. This will be your guide to put the pearls in the right places.
Glue your beads on the letters, starting at the top of each letter and going down. Align them so you don’t see a gap between them.
Pearl valentine tree
Cut the foam heart stick in half and insert it into the top of the foam cone until the stick is no longer visible.
Glue the beads around the foam cone, starting at the top and working down until the beads cover the entire cone. This step will take approximately one hour.
If you have faux pearl necklaces, you could probably use them for the Valentine tree and that would make the process a lot quicker. I believe Dollar Tree sells them around Halloween, but not all year round.
